Description:
Due to our Clients success, they are expanding their team and are seeking a highly motivated hands-on individual to assume the responsibility for planning, designing, implementing and managing manufacturing improvements and product development projects. Our Client is a rapidly growing company with as fast paced environment. A competitive salary and benefits package including stock options and bonus is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will directly interface and be the primary technical liaison with vendors and internal resources on various manufacturing improvements and product development projects. *Facilitate and maintain design standards for projects. *Project management of manufacturing improvements and product development projects. *Provide technical support over the phone and, when needed, in person *Hands-on engineer to take ownership of designing and bringing to completion manufacturing improvements and product development projects. *Work directly with all levels of internal resources
Qualifications:
5 years experience minimum. Engineering Degree required (Chemical or Mechanical engineer preferred).
*Prior experience in a multi-task small company environment.
*Project management experience.
*Process equipment design and scale up experience in the biopharmaceutical area preferred
*Experience with fluid handling design and calculation, (pipe flow, pressure drop, sheer, etc.) preferred
*Experience working in a regulated environment required, knowledge of FDA requirements, cGMP standards, and ASME-BPE standards preferred
*Ability to analyze operations and make recommendations for improvement.
*Ability to perform small scale experiments, prototypes, and testing to determine parameters for scale up.
*Experience with vendor interaction and negotiations.
*Strong understanding of engineering design principles and practices as defined in Machinery’s Handbook.
*Must be a self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work with little or no supervision
*Team player, great communication skills, open and honest.
*Prior experience in an ISO-9000 environment with the ability to thrive in a controlled change environment is desired.
*Prior experience with automated manufacturing equipment, material bonding, ultra sonic welding, heat sealing, or sheeting equipment desired.
*0-25% travel required
