Description: We are currently seeking to hire a Scientist, Technology Development for our rapidly growing Client. This candidate will be responsible for the Develop and optimize molecular genomic test procedures along with the following responsibilities: •Identify and integrate quality assurance steps for assays •Project capacity, costs, personnel, equipment, reagents and time requirements for assays being developed •Cooperate with IT group to integrate relevant information in to the LIMS •Prepare regulatory compliant test documentation for transition to testing laboratory •Train laboratory associates on new test procedures •Perform specimen testing as required •Troubleshoot and optimize current test procedures •Perform routine documentation procedures including recording specimen testing data and organizing testing reports •Record data in a timely fashion as required •Perform routine equipment calibration and maintenance where required •Function in a team environment •Maintain a flexible work schedule
Qualifications: Must have a Ph.D and at least three years of hands on experience in a molecular biology laboratory •At least 1 year industry experience (as opposed to academic experience or academic lab experience) •Hands on experience working with RNA, Nucleic Acid and Assay Development •Direct experience with PCR •Microsoft Excel and Word experience •Good organizational skills •Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously •Close attention to detail is essential •Enthusiastic
