STAFF ACCOUNTANT * * OPPORTUNITY Locally based Durham Company looking for a Senior Accountant to add to their team. This is a newly created position due to growth. Under the supervision of the Controller, the Senior Accountant performs various reporting and accounting activities that facilitate the flow and reporting of financial information.
TYPICAL DUTIES: Coordinates the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package. Designs/formats/maintains general ledger reports and maintains accounts in general ledger software. Ensures accounting policies and procedures are in compliance with the latest pronouncements. Maintains an ongoing review process in areas of responsibilities to assure the accuracy of financial records. Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with major in Accounting required Five or more years General Accounting experience required Great Plains and Microsoft FRx required Experience in construction setting preferred Experience with multiple entities is preferred Experience with cost allocation plans is preferred
Salary $45 to $50k base, full time 40 hours per week, excellent benefits
