Description:
Due to our Clients success, they are expanding their team and are seeking a highly motivated individual to assume the responsibility for the design of filtration and chromatography equipment. The successful candidate will directly interface with customers at all levels during the following integration stages: first contact, demonstration, scale up specification review & creation, estimating, proposal creation, design, manufacturing, FAT, IQ/OQ, SAT, and start up. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Primary technical liaison with end-users •Facilitate and maintain design standards for the biopharmaceutical product line, (interfacing with the internal knowledge base to ensure controlled change) •System and process design responsibility for the biopharmaceutical product line •Run demos and assist in start-up installations •Assist Marketing in preparation of application materials •Prepare and give PowerPoint talks on product capabilities and benefits to customers •Provide technical support over the phone and, when needed, in person
Requirements
•5 years experience minimum. Engineering Degree required (Chemical engineer preferred). Post-grad degree preferred.
•Prior experience in a multi-task small company environment.
•Process equipment design and scale up experience in the biopharmaceutical area
•Experience with fluid handling design and calculation, (pipe flow, pressure drop, sheer, etc.)
•Working knowledge of FDA requirements, the cGMP standard, and ASME-BPE
•Ability to analyze system operation and make recommendations for improving process performance
•Ability to perform small scale experiments with customers to determine parameters for scale up.
•Experience with customer interaction
•Strong understanding of engineering design principles and practices as defined in Machinery’s Handbook.
•Must be a self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work with little or no supervision
•Team player, great communication skills, open and honest.
•Prior experience in an ISO-9000 environment with the ability to thrive in a controlled change environment is desired.
•0-25% travel required
