Benefits Analyst – Contract to Hire
Location: RTP
Duration: 30 day contract to hire
Start: as soon as possible
Rate: $45 per hour during the contract period- convert to $75k base plus full benefits
Travel: None
Advanced Excel skills including V-look ups, Pivot tables, and data manipulation required, working with ADP system a plus.
This position is responsible for supporting the administration of the company's Health and Welfare Plans (including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, dependent life, long term disability, flexible spending accounts) and 401(k) plan with a third-party record keeper. 3rd Quarter enrollment coordination.
Oversee the administration of the company's Health and Welfare Plans (including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, dependent life, long term disability, flexible spending accounts). Work with Senior Benefits Analyst the 401(k) plan with a third-party record keeper. Provide guidance and plan interpretation as the Subject Matter Expert for the H&W plans. Liaison with the third party provider to assist in the research and resolution of employee benefit issues. Works directly with vendors and third party administrators to ensure benefit programs are administered according to the parameters of the plans.
Develops benefit training for HR Business Partners and communications for employees including creation/revision of benefit information for company websites and HR portal. Compile data for benefits surveys and analyze results to determine benefit trends and develop recommendations to improve and maintain competitive benefit plans. Responsible for benefits discrimination testing, billing statement audits, reconciliation and payment. Defines standards and processes within own area of responsibility, and identifies areas for improvement.
Participates in Human Resource Projects as required to support and represent the interests of the benefits function.
