Senior Software Engineer Description: Magnus Health Technology is a successful start-up company located in Raleigh, NC. Its flagship product, Magnus Health Portal, is a coordinated software platform that consolidates thousands of points of healthcare information. Magnus is currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join as a key player of the technical team, leading and working with the other team members both local and overseas, to continue the product development.
Magnus Health Technology is a startup company that is now going into it’s second year of operation. We have customers and are in a rapid growth stage. Magnus is an entrepreneurial work environment, with a proven market. The position is opportunity to drive development and make pivotal decisions in the direction of a company. Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain the Magnus Health Portal and various other web applications • Design/Architect scalable application solutions and code according to specification • Coordinate and work with both local and oversea team members • Be a subject matter expert and be able to mentor / lead a small team of developers
Qualifications:
Education: B.S. in Computer Science of equivalent Experience: Proficiency in various software development methodologies and Java web application development with 3-5 years experience in the following areas: • HTML, JavaScript, and CSS • Java and server side code development • JSP & Servlets • Enterprise Java Beans • Struts • XML • Web Services • Eclipse and J2EE development environment • JDBC and MySQL • Source Control (e.g. CVS and Subversion) • Linux • Apache/Tomcat
Other Skills: Must be self-motivated, good team player, and with strong communication skills.
